This is a good app. Nuff said. Lots of data, smooth and sharp UI.

Best app for tracking gas and maintenance.

Im a guy living in the US who prefers metric so I set my motorcycle odometer and speedometer to km, but when I fill up Im dealing with gallons and dollars at the gas station. But I want to see the final reading in MPG. Oh, and when I log my girlfriends car I want that not to be metric. No problem!! I feel I threw an unreasonable user story at the app and it still works...

The import utility alone on Darrens website is amazing and convinced me to try the app for the seemingly hefty fee of $6.99. Its a robust app with great documentation, and an awesome import utility which makes it worth trying. Import went smoothly although Im still playing with how I want to have some data treated. Location field is great and the map function is a nice bonus that Ill spend time to find the right blend of use for tax purposes. I didnt give it a full 5 as it does lack support for iCloud or OneDrive - it made me get yet another cloud account with Dropbox.

Excellent!! Just deleted Gas Cubby after 4 years use. What a piece of junk compared to this.

We have used this great application for 3 vehicles but now wish to track costs on a fully electric one. While you can zero out fuel cost and amount you end up with astronomical miles per gallon. Ive emailed RoadTrip about possibly adding electric auto support with no response. With the number of zero emission cars increasing every year it might be worth providing that option within RoadTrip or creating a new app. Whatever Darren decides he sure has designed & written a useful tool with RoadTrip.

I was a long time Gas Cubby user and was frustrated at how it seemed to die on the vine, so the hunt was on for a replacement. The costs for both the iPad and iPhone for this app almost scared me away, but dont let it scare you away either. This app is worth it. I have two cars, one with metric instrumentation. This app tracks both with ease. It also expertly imported all of my Gas Cubby info (and I had a *lot* to import). Road Trip also has more robust tracking for repairs and maintenance, as well as gas tracking. I had a question for the developer and it was answered promptly. Great app!

I too dumped gas cubby after a long haul. After plenty of searching and hesitation of the price, I downloaded this and I wished I would have long ago. Just follow the directions with the download tool if you want to transfer records, and then you have to put your service schedules back in manually, it works great! Like anything else you have to look around the app to see whats there and its plenty. I cant think of anything that it left out, covers everything. You can either backup through email or download the free Dropbox app. Just follow the instructions and read some of the other reviews how to transfer gas cubby to here. You wont be sorry. It has a great user manual too.

I bought this app when I got my new car. Road Trip helps me keep track of everything that it costs me to use my car - I get instant mileage per tank, and its easy to keep track of my annual projected mileage so that I know where I stand on my lease. Much easier to use than the little mileage books we always kept in our car growing up, plus it calculates everything for you! Ive never had a single problem with app functionality. This is one of my most regularly used apps!

I have used many other MPG apps and used Gas Cubby for years and have been disappointed that it hadnt been updated with support for new phones and iOS8. I read the reviews for this app and it is absolutely perfect. The customization is fantastic and if detail-oriented, it has everything you need. This app has been meticulously designed by someone who really understands all the needs and options you would want in tracking vehicle expenses. And this app is made by an independent developer - Happy to pay for this premium experience to support them.

Road trip is a great app for tracking your fuel and maintenance costs. You can see how much is going into a car and how it relates to its fuel consumption. If you did a tuneup and recorded it in the app it will show you how much it cost and you will notice the fuel usage drop. Over a year it will factor in everything and tell you how much it cost to use your vehicle. If your to busy to enter in all the info but you just want to enter in your fuel and mileage info it will show you how much per mile your car uses and you will still see the drop in miles per gallon as if you had entered the tuneup info. Overall I like and use this app on my personal vehicles as well as my fleet vehicles.

I maintained two cars’ records in MPG for over 12 years. I emailed Darren Stone a question about data conversion and got a response within minutes. He even included instructions on how to get my MPG data file off my iPhone and assisted with the conversion. Frankly, it was the best customer service I’ve gotten in a long time. Loaded the data into Road Trip and everything displayed just fine. Entered my first fill-up today - a wonderful experience. Greatly appreciate the modern UI and data display. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

This app satisfies my thirst for vehicle analytics. I started using it when I bought my new truck and I can track all fuel, loan, insurance and other associated expenses related to the vehicle and can quickly see what it costs per mile or day to operate. It breaks down MPG, tracks what I spent per gallon each time I fill up and even tracks location of fill up so I can know where I scored that great deal. I dont give five stars often but this app completely earns it. Happy customer.

This is simply one of those solid apps that handles key daily needs. It iswell thought out and works as expected. Excellent way of keeping track of gas mileage and expenditures. It does more than that, but even if all youre interested is tracking the basics, this has you covered! Includes an easy backup process via email. I found the developer responsive to users, too. I recently upgraded devices and found the latest version of RT maintained its ease of use and upgraded the graph display! There are now separate graphs for $, mpg, $/gallon, etc. But wisely the developer included a two graph view, too! Years ago, he added moving averages and they are still here, too. I am usually quite tough in my reviews, but this one just gets it right! Note: I have no association with the company; just a happy app user.

This app has really exceeded what I thought it can offer me! The statistics and data after time of entering your receipts really demonstrate how important it could be to track your MPG. That way if you ever notice a bad change you can tell if something is wrong with your car.

The app does a wonderful job letting you know how much you spend in your car (fuel, insurance, etc) and can remind you about maintenance, payments and other stuff. Awesome

Fantastic app and well-worth the pro-version investment! I love the ability to track general expenses and add notes. The only feature this app is missing (and its a major one) is the ability to attach pictures to entries. This is an incredibly helpful feature that many other lesser apps have. Please add this option to fuel, expenses, and service! Best Regards, Phil

Powerful app that helps my understanding on true costs to own/run/maintain my vehicle. Pretty simple to use. Not a 5 star without iCloud integration.
